ABOUT ME

About April Maria.

I’m someone who believes we should be able to talk about sex, pleasure and relationships with the same openness and curiosity we bring to every other part of our lives.

My own experiences of navigating my relationship with my body, pleasure and intimacy are a big part of what led me to this work. I know how confusing and isolating it can feel when something that is supposed to come “naturally” suddenly doesn’t — and how much unhelpful pressure there can be around what sex, desire and relationships are supposed to look like.

That’s why I care so much about creating a space where nothing feels too awkward, embarrassing or “weird” to talk about.

I’m naturally curious, open-minded and practical. I don’t believe in telling people how they should be having sex or what a “healthy” relationship has to look like. I’m much more interested in helping you understand your body, your patterns, your relationships and what actually feels good and meaningful to you.

MY APPROACH

Support shaped around the person, not a template.

I believe support around sex and relationships is never one-size-fits-all. We are all unique in our interests, abilities, likes and dislikes around sex.

My approach brings together psychosexual education, therapeutic exploration and embodied, practical tools. It’s not just about understanding why something is happening, but exploring what might help you create meaningful change in your everyday life.

01

Psychosexual education

Clear, shame-free information that helps you understand your body, desire and experiences.

02

Therapeutic exploration

Space to explore patterns, meaning and what may be getting in the way, without judgement.

03

Embodied, practical tools

Grounded exercises and practical ways to create meaningful change in everyday life.

There’s no expectation of what your sex life, relationship or sexuality should look like. Instead, we get curious about what’s happening for you, what might be getting in the way, and what feeling more connected, pleasurable or fulfilling could look like on your terms.

My work is sex-positive, inclusive and judgement-free, with space to talk openly about the things that can sometimes feel difficult to say out loud.

MY CREDENTIALS

Training that supports thoughtful, responsible work.

A concise record of the professional training that informs my work across sex, relationships, education and embodied support.
